About Me

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Romy discovered her love of performing at 3 years old, when she played the coveted role of Angel number 1 in the school nativity, and she never looked back! She began vocal studies while at high school and went on to complete a Bachelor of Music (Musical Theatre) at the Australian Institute of Music.
She is now based in New York City, where she performs as an actor-singer.

Romy has performed in projects across New York and internationally. Currently, Romy has just closed the Off-Off-Broadway musical, The Frankenstein Project which ran in February and March at Theatre for the New City in New York. Some of her other favourite theatre roles include John Wilkes Booth in Stephen Sondheims Assassins, Simon (standby) in The Duchess of LES, Mrs Walker in The Who's Tommy and Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls. Romy has performed as a solo vocalist with John Bucchino during his Sydney concerts, as well as at the Malvern Theatre Cabaret Evening.

In 2022, Romy was awarded the Lee and Anna Strasberg 50th Anniversary Scholarship, at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City. She commenced studies in the fall, where she was able to study with some of the most well know and respected teachers in the world, including Vincent D'Onofiro, Geoffrey Horne, Lola Cohen, Madeline Jayne and Bruce Baumer. She graduated in spring 2023
